Description: Artist working in vibrant acrylic paint, also in watercolour, creating modern textiles, and handmade, very individual cards. Working on commissioned pieces.

I paint in response to the natural world around me. I am stirred to observe the intensity of colour caused by the quality of light, the changing seasons and the strong spiritual affinity I sense when I visit certain places, which seem special to me.

Now that I am working in Scotland, I find the rich diversity of subject material a great inspiration, but it is the natural world; the lochs, glens, beaches, rocks and watercourses exposed with a clear brightness which stimulates my activities. I also work to commission, and enjoy working with clients on 'home portraits.'

I like to work with speed, and to keep a vividness and freshness to my images, and so I use acrylic paints and inks to achieve my effects. I also work in watercolour at times.

I also create modern textile pieces, framed or free standing, using a variety of modern techniques. I also made handmade cards based on my work, or using my own photography.

All my pictures are suitable for framing either glazed or unglazed.
